Dog Behaviour

Dogs are highly social beings, but just like us they can struggle with their emotions and mental health, often resulting in reactions that we humans deem as problems, such as aggression or frustration, loneliness or destructive behaviour.
Having lived with reactive dogs in the past, and with 17 years experience of owning my own dogs, I completely understand how stressful it is to navigate life with a dog with issues. It can be frustrating, isolating, and very upsetting, especially if the behaviour is getting worse and you don't know where to turn.
As a qualified Clinical Animal Behaviourist and an ethical company, EpiphanyK9 promises to...
- NEVER use physical force, intimidation, discomfort or aversive tools in order to achieve fast results, behaviour modification takes time, patience and kindness.
- ALWAYS set you both up for lasting success using kind and ethical, reward-based training methods that inspire confidence and resilience in both you and your dog.
- TEACH you to understand how to help your dog, now, and in the future.
- SUPPORT you through the duration of your training journey.
- PRIORITISE yours and your dogs safety, welfare and wellbeing, above all else.

What Happens When You Book?

Veterinary Referral Form:
Immediately after getting in touch with EpiphanyK9, you'll receive this form. This means you will need to get an up to date health check from your vet to determine that your pet is otherwise fit and healthy. Your vet will sign the form and either they or you can return it to us.

Behavioural Questionnaire:
You will also receive our in-depth questionnaire. It is our method of gathering as much information as we can before your consultation, giving us more time to discuss solutions and ways forward, rather than take up your consultation time asking lots of questions.

Online Consultation:
Once your form and questionnaire have been returned to us, we will ask you to book your online consultation with us. This usually lasts between 1 to 2 hours, depending on the complexity of your case. During this time, we aim to gather any more information we need, discuss practical solutions to help stop the behaviour getting worse.

Written Report:
You will receive a full written report about what we have discussed during your consultation. This will include any materials you need to get you started (handouts and videos etc.).
You will also receive a practical and easy to follow treatment plan that will help you on your journey to solve your dogs problems.
You will learn about what your dog is trying to gain from their behaviour as well as reasons behind the behaviour so that you can further understand your dog.

Ongoing Support:
You will receive ongoing support via WhatsApp, email or phone for 1 month after your consultation.
If you have booked one of our packages, you will be able to book in-person training sessions as well as online catch up sessions along your journey with us.
You will also have access to online resources via the members area on the website.
